Whoopi
Goldberg, born Caryn
Elaine Johnson; November 13,1955 is an American comedian, actress,
singer-songwriter, political activist, author and talk show host. All of this has made her one of the most
accomplished actors of her generation, and she is one of the fer entertainers
who have won a Emm, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.
She adopted the
traditionally German/Jewish surname Goldberb as a stage name because her mother
felt the original surname of Johnson was not "Jewish enough" to make
her a star.

PERSONAL LIFE
“What’s bothering me more than anything else is – that I
know that it’s important to do all the marches and everything, but I don’t
wanna lose sight of the fact that a 17 year old boy who had Skittles and some
ice tea was shot dead by a man, by a vigilante,” she said. Walters said that nobody had “lost sight” of
that, but Goldberg disagreed. She took
issue with various groups for focusing attention on their own plans to seek
justice. “It’s all about the soundbite,”
she lamented. She noted that some people
have even spread a wrong address as George Zimmermans’s
“I just think that you know, everybody needs to take a step
back and remember what this is about,” she said. “I want people to stop before they make a bad
decision that compound an issue and take it away from the fact that a 17 year
old boy was shot by a vigilante.”
When ever they want to buffer our cry for justice and
equality they always seem to know where to turn for a black representative. That
is prepared to say the most foolish things that come in their heads, like, “I
don’t see where as there is a problem with race any more because the
opportunities are there to do or be just about anything you want, and there is
just too much crying about someone holding you back.” To, “I just think that
you know, everybody needs to take a step back and remember what this is about,”
is another foolish remark to come out of the mouth of a person that sees black
but feels like she should have been born white. That’s the problem, we have been holding
back for so long that we can’t remember why until the next Trayvon Martin comes
along and remind us that we are sick and tired of holding back and continue to
whisper among ourselves that there is a problem. Then we hear ignorant people make statements
like this when someone do speak up that just happen to be white in this case.
Co-host Whoopi
Goldberg was not amused, challenging Coulter: "If you're
going to talk about race, at least know what you're talking about. Tell me how
much you know about being black."
I think
she is the one that have forgotton what being black is. She hate the color so much so that she
would take a Jewish last name, so not to be riminded that her ancesores was
once slaves. Each time that she have
gotton married or took to a lover it was too another white man. Every time a white person say or do something
negative toward us, she’s there to defend them with the loudest soundbite that
can be heard, but we as blacks, “Just need to step back and take amoment to
think.” She say we don’t need to march,
and yet she can stand up holding signs and march for a cause that is a sin in
God’s eye, with them and for their rights, but not ours. Therefore it is plain to see that she don’t
know anything about being black, don’t give a damn and don’t want to be
reminded in the end that she is one of us in the end.
